It's the morning of October 29th. Halloween is just around the corner. The air is crisp, and the sun is shining just perfectly. I am sitting in the rec room of where we manage staring out the window feeling a new sense of content-ness I haven't in quite a while. It feels like there has been a shift in mindset and energy that today is the day that I can really start moving upwards rather then looping all around. I mean, it's has been a lot of movement going up but as they say, anything that goes up must come down once in a while. Usually it would feel like a death drop, but now it has felt like I am now off the nauseating rollercoaster and floating in the ocean. Soothing waves through life, where finally the storm has calmed.
Grief can sometimes be such a tough pill to swallow. They aren't kidding when they say it is something that you never forget, but you just get further from it. The last few years has been really painful to say the least. Grief is so multi-faceted and complex that seriously "one-size fits all" is impossible to define it. It can definitely be such an excruciating phase, but... at the same time it is such a beautiful gift to experience. I know that some may think that I could be insane for calling grief beautiful compared with the severity to which they have felt it and the circumstances. I totally understand their point of views. Nonetheless, my point of view is that if you don't find the beauty in it, you will never escape it.
